Luno the Bunny and the Golden Dream Propeller

Booksaill bedtime story with Luno the Bunny sitting beside a cozy cottage under the moonlight and the glowing Moon Dream Machine

Beyond seven little hills, where the grass smelled like chamomile, there stood a tiny cottage with a round window.

In that cottage lived a little bunny named Luno.

Luno had soft ears, warm pajamas covered in stars, and one very important job.

Every evening, he sat in front of his cottage, closed his eyes, and listened to the night.

He listened to the crickets chirping.

He listened to the grass whispering.

He listened to the stars blinking softly in the sky.

And beside his cottage stood a very unusual machine.

It was wooden and round, with a golden moon glowing in the middle. It looked a little like a drum, a little like a lantern, and a little like the enchanted heart of the night.

Luno called it the Moon Dream Machine.

When the machine worked, its little golden propellers turned slowly.

Whoosh…

Whoosh…

Whoosh…

Then tiny lights floated out of the machine, and a gentle lullaby drifted over the meadow.

La, la, loo…

La, la, lee…

And all the little animals fell peacefully asleep.

Luno the Bunny notices that the Moon Dream Machine has stopped working under the starry night sky

But one evening, something strange happened.

The moon was shining brightly.

The stars were blinking.

The fireflies were dancing.

Luno sat in front of his cottage and waited for the lullaby.

But the Moon Dream Machine only made a tiny sound:

Pop.

Then:

Click.

And then it gave a very soft sigh:

Whoo…

And went quiet.

Luno opened one eye.

Then the other.

The lights went out.

The guitar standing beside the machine was silent.

Even the crickets stopped playing.

Then a tiny firefly peeked out from the grass.

It was Nutty.

He was glowing a little less brightly than usual.

“Luno,” he said softly, “the Moon Dream Machine cannot play its lullaby.”

“Why not?” asked Luno.

Nutty flew closer to the machine and pointed at a small golden propeller.

“The Golden Dream Propeller is stuck. Without it, the lullaby cannot fly across the meadow.”

Luno stepped closer very carefully.

The propeller was covered in silver dust from a night cloud. One of its petals was slightly bent and could not turn.

“Oh dear,” whispered Luno. “We need to help it. But very gently.”

“Very, very gently,” added Nutty.

Tippy the Hedgehog gives Luno the Bunny a soft feather in a moonlit meadow

First, they went into the meadow.

Among the daisies sat Tippy the Hedgehog.

He had a little pillow on his back instead of leaves, and he looked very sleepy.

“I can’t fall asleep,” sighed Tippy. “My tiny feet still want to tiptoe.”

Luno sat beside him.

“Tonight, the dream machine needs help. We are looking for something soft to clean the golden propeller.”

Tippy thought for a moment.

Then he pulled a small, fluffy feather from under a daisy.

“I found this in the morning,” he said. “It is so light that even a dream would not feel it.”

Luno smiled.

“It will be perfect.”

Miko the Snail gives Luno the Bunny a glowing dewdrop on a green leaf while Puffy Cloud floats above

Then Luno, Nutty, and Tippy went to visit Miko the Snail.

Miko was sitting on a leaf, guarding the cleanest dewdrop in the whole meadow.

“Good evening,” he said slowly. “Does anyone need a dewdrop?”

“The Moon Dream Machine is stuck,” explained Luno. “We need something to help it shine again.”

Miko the Snail very carefully handed them a leaf with the dewdrop on it.

“This is the calmest dewdrop in the meadow,” he said. “Let it help the machine.”

At last, Luno looked high, high into the sky.

A soft cloud was floating above them.

It was Puffy Cloud.

“Puffy Cloud,” called Luno, “can you blow very gently?”

Puffy Cloud drifted down closer to the roof.

“I can blow as gently as someone tucking in a blanket before bedtime.”

Luno the Bunny and his friends gently fix the Golden Dream Propeller in the Moon Dream Machine

Everyone returned to the front of the cottage.

The Moon Dream Machine stood quietly.

Luno took the feather from Tippy the Hedgehog.

He touched the propeller once.

Then again.

Then a third time.

The silver dust began to disappear.

Miko the Snail handed him the dewdrop.

Luno gently wiped the golden petal.

The propeller shimmered.

But it still did not spin.

“Now it is my turn,” said Puffy Cloud.

She took in a little bit of night air and blew as softly as she could.

Whooo…

The Golden Dream Propeller moved just a tiny bit.

Tick.

Then a little more.

Tick, tick.

And then it began to turn slowly.

Whoosh…

Whoosh…

Whoosh…

Luno clapped his paws.

Nutty glowed brightly.

Tippy the Hedgehog stopped tiptoeing.

Miko the Snail smiled from under his leaf.

The Moon Dream Machine lit up the golden moon in its center.

First, one little light appeared.

Then another.

Then a third.

Soon, the whole meadow was filled with a soft glow.

A quiet melody floated out of the machine.

It was not loud.

It was not fast.

It was soft like a blanket.

Calm like breathing.

Warm like a little lamp in the window.

La, la, loo…

La, la, lee…

The guitar beside the machine began to play by itself, as if someone had gently brushed its strings.

The crickets started playing again.

The fireflies danced above the flowers.

Puffy Cloud curled up beside the moon like a pillow.

Tippy the Hedgehog yawned so widely that his eyes closed.

Miko the Snail tucked himself under his leaf.

Nutty sat on a daisy and glowed only a tiny bit.

And Luno the Bunny sat on the little step in front of his cottage.

He closed his eyes.

He hugged his paws close to his starry pajamas.

And he whispered:

“Goodnight, meadow.

Goodnight, stars.

Goodnight, Moon Dream Machine.”

The machine answered softly:

Whoosh…

Whoosh…

Whoosh…

That night, all the animals slept peacefully.

And above Luno’s little cottage, the moon shone more beautifully than anywhere else in the sky.

Because sometimes even a tiny part is very important.

And when something stops working, calm hearts, gentle paws, and helpful friends can make it shine again.

Even a small act of help can fix something important. When we stay calm, gentle, and work together, we can bring back joy, peace, and sweet dreams.
