I'll Always Love You, My Little One: A Story Full of Love & Animal Adventures
12 beautifully illustrated stories featuring turtles, lions, and more
Ages 3–7

A quick word for parents: This story helps when a child has “too much energy” in bed. We use a “heavy feet” grounding game to help the body become calm and ready for sleep.
The sun had already tucked behind the grass.
The savanna became quiet.
But little Elephant Eli was not sleepy at all.
Eli was full of joy!
He flapped his ears.
He swung his trunk.
He took a step to the left. And to the right.
— Mom! — Eli trumpeted happily. — Today I learned to do: Pffff! Like I’m spraying water! And my legs still want to jump!
Eli wiggled on his bed of soft leaves.
The leaves rustled: shoo, shoo, shoo…
Then Mama Elephant came over.
She was big and calm.
She gently placed her trunk on Eli’s back.
— I see your joy — Mama whispered. — It is wonderful.
— Yes! — Eli smiled.
— And now we will do something savanna heroes do — Mama smiled. — We will charge your legs for sleep.
Eli blinked.
— How do you charge legs?
Mama leaned closer.
— We will make them heavy elephant feet. So heavy that they will want to rest all by themselves.
— Lie down comfortably — Mama said.
— Put your feet down softly.
— Imagine your feet are big and heavy… like elephant feet.
— Now breathe in through your nose…
— And breathe out slowly through your mouth…
— One more time. Breathe in… and breathe out…
— And one more time. Breathe in… and breathe out…
Eli felt his legs getting heavier.
As if they were saying: “No more running. Now it’s rest time.”
Mama whispered:
— My body is strong, but now it rests.
Eli repeated softly:
— My body is strong… but now it rests.
The sky turned deep blue.
Little stars twinkled quietly.
Eli was lying still now.
His legs felt heavy and warm.
His ears drooped softly.
His trunk became calm, too.
Mama sat close.
Her shadow was like a blanket.
— Listen, Eli — she whispered. — The tall grass is sleeping now.
— The little birds are sleeping, too.
— And the wind is only blowing a tiny bit… very softly.
Eli took a slow breath.
His tummy rose… and fell.
Up… and down.
Mama stroked him gently with her trunk.
— Your feet did a great job.
Whisper together: “My body is strong, but now it rests.”
Then: 1 cuddle + 1 slow breath.
And we close our eyes for the whole night.
Little Elephant Eli fell asleep in a calm, deep sleep.
And the savanna became soft and quiet.
The End. 🌙🐘✨
And you… which part of your body feels the most heavy and calm right now? Feet? Legs? Tummy?
